This week’s photo comes from a collection that I’ll share on Wednesday. Still finding my way around Reading town yesterday, I stumbled onto the Forbury Gardens, a quaint nest juxtaposing one of the main, busy roads into the town. It was so hard to choose one of the subsequent photos I took as my Monday photo, but I was particularly drawn to the monolith outside the entrance, a stone tower inscribed with a message of thanks and remembrance for all those who lived in Reading and died fighting in the Great War. A solitary bouquet of lilac-hued flowers had been positioned on the topmost step, a little below the message, ever remembering the lost.
A perfect set up for a photographer.
