Mental Illness and Me (Video)

Check out my friend Irish Sword’s comprehensive vlog about living with mental illness from the point of someone who experiences certain disruptions to life, but is not officially diagnosed. This is a topic close to my heart, and I love the way with which Sword tackles a sensitive topic.

    • You’re very welcome. I can understand – I’m certainly not brave enough to do something like that, partly because I know my family and friends would start throwing questions my way, which would only make me more anxious. I don’t want to say that it’s something I have to deal with on my own–and, I’m grateful you spoke about the sliding scales with therapists, as I think that money is often the biggest obstacle to people getting the aid they need–but sometimes people are better when kept to their own remedies.
So, I guess what I’m rambling about is that I totally support the whole opening up about mental illness, but I don’t have the confidence to do one myself, which is why your video was so thoughtful. Hope that makes sense! 🙂
